Activity

I know that the challenge I have with these course is staying active.  I am an audible person, Like to listen to a leacture, see it on the screen and then I can remember.  Reading it does not work for me.  I have to read these slides sometimes 3 to 8 times before it registers what I am reading.  Thus these modules take 8 to 10 hours for me to finish.  I wish they had someone reading the slides rather then expect me to read them.

Passive learning is what is percieved to be absorbed, active learning is what is apparent and understood.

The online learning should be interactive, compaired to a classroom but must be planned to keep students interactive.

These modules could use some AR VR and MR to make them more interesting instead of just boring reading the material.  Hey guys, pratice what you teach.

Online learning is a not new it has been around for a while and this company needs help making there materials more interesting.  This is not a mail in, it is virtually boring.

Teaching and Organizing a Virtual Learning Environment is about keeping up with technology and todays trends.  Unlike this MaxKnowledge which is still in the stone age, I prefer to use all means available.  Video's, Chats groups, and we use Canvas which has Modules.  I make all my assignments available on day one.  The only thing that is not available are test and "Question of the Day" which helps keep the students active each day.

Teaching and Organizing a Virtual Learning Environment is not a new concept.  This was a way of instruction prior to Covid.  I got my 3rd degree via online learning.  The main thing about online learning is it has to keep the attention of the viewer.  Not like this online learning course that is so boring and ho-hum.  If I did what they do I would loose my students on day one.  Keeping it fresh and non boring is the key.

Setting up a place for students to meet and ask questions is a good ideal unless students lead each other astray.  I prefer getting an email, text, or phone call when there is a question.  Each means of contact elevates the importance of the question.

What I have learned is that this is not up todate.  With vitural learning using platforms like Zoom, Conference, etc. this training material didn't mention any of it.  Also what good is it to mention things like PowerPoint with voice if you are not going to have modules on how to perform this service?  Not everyone is tech savvay and this is not easy to do.

Instructors shoud always remember to have multiple evaluations and multiple inputs from your stakeholders to improve your online course.
