I like to provide detailed images and tables that give a framework to the students about when assignments I due. I find that having a very clear schedule helps to keep them on track. I learned that this kind of framework provides positive reinforcement. 

Personally I find the best way to manage the system is to provide clear strucutre.

For every facet of the LMS( or CMS depending on word choice) I include a set of clear guidelines and rules.

I also let each student know that if they follow these rules they will succeed, otherwise I have a clear policy in place that will be folowed.

By providing the opportunity for both rigorous synchronous and asynchronous disucssions I would hope to foster the most engagement possible from my students. 

Deciding on the appropriate type of delivery based on the needs of the individual student.

I will try to enocourage more of my students to post a short bio so I can connect better with them. I have my own bio posted and gradually learn about them by asking questions. However with the use of a bio a class relationship can be fostered more and individual attention can be enhanced.

The clearest objective for an online modality of teaching is that is necessary to understand the course structure.

If the instructor has any confusion with due dates or locations of assingmnents the students will as well.

As the instructor it is our duty to effectively communicate both the material and the assesments we use to gauge learning.
