Preparation is key, the more prepared and detailed you are, the better your lecture or lesson will be. You'll be able to communicate to the students more effectively by putting the course content in your own words or terms.
It's always good to break the ice with your students by sharing your experience with them so they feel comfortable in your classroom.
Proper planning and taking action prior to your tasks/classes prevents poor performance.
Being disciplined on my conduct in the classroom and setting the standard on how to act in both a professional and classroom setting to the students. I strongly believe mutual respect is a must in developing a professional relationship with both my colleagues and students.
