Reviewing compliance guidlines regularly is vital for keeping your establishment in compliance, Understanding FERPA and maintaining the highest regard for the regulations is best practice. 

 

My biggest take away from this module was to be more mindful of authenticating my calls when speaking with students. It is difficult to verify identity over a phone call but that extra security is very high priority.

 

My most significant take away from this section is that in a conversation if you slow down and talk less you can actually set the conversation up to be more productive and informal. 

 

In this module, I learned that keeping questions postive and without judgemental undertone is most effective and sets the listener up to answer comfortably. When you allow yourself to frame a question from the perspective of the recipient you are giving them the best chance of understanding and giving a direct answer. 

 

Making sure your follow up and end results are action-oriented seems like a very important mindset. When you create an end goal, it provides closure to the process. 

Getting into the mindset of a prospective student will help be more proactive in the admissions process. If you take into consideration how the candidate is feeling and how they need to be addressed, tailoring the approach to their needs will prove the best outcome.

 

When building a relationship with a potential student, Take into account their time and utilize the time you do take to build a solid rapport and customize your approach to the individual rather than being scripted. 

Not every inquiry will result in an immediate enrollment, Continuing to engage prospective students who would like to delay a start is very important. 

 

From this module, I have learned how important staying up to date with all the changing information, that includes regular meetings to make sure the many departments have the most up to date information also. 

I have learned from this module the appropriate methods of advertising for your institution.
