Joanie, You are right. Focusing on the students accomplishments and goals is what we all should be doing. Thanks!
Discussion Comment
Joanie, It is important for us [employees] to recoginize and understand that the script is a carefully thought out process that not only protects the students rights, but the employee and institution as well.

Jennifer, Thank you for sharing your institution's procedures. I am sure that many of your peers will benefit from understanding the process for exit interviews.
Discussion Comment
Jennifer, You bring up a good point. Memorizing all of the regulations is not realistic. Regulations change on a continuos basis. It is more important that you know where to find the regulations that relate to your department, campus, etc.
Discussion Comment
Betty, This is understandable.
Discussion Comment
Alison, I appreciate your willingness to be involved in this process. Your management team should be able to give you adequate information.
Discussion Comment
Gingham, This is a good call. Many times new employees make promises that they intend to keep but are not able too because of policies or procedures that are in place.
Alison, Thanks for your clarification.
June, I really like the creativity and the button idea!
