Emily, Many times students will come to you from other institutions seeking a better environment, better education or additional education. I would always advise an employee to procedd carefully with these students because they need time to learn to trust an institution to meet their needs.

Jonathan, Thank you. This is the very reason that the rules and regulations were put into place, to avoid this type of activity.
Lisa, Many times it is simply in the way you ask the question.
Inez, You are correct, the regulations removed the incentive for leads leading to enrollments.
Tricia, You are right, students who are comfortable with their institution will volunteer a referral easily.

Jennifer, I thought that additional information regarding CIP codes might be benficial to employees that have not dealt with CIP codes in the past. The purpose of the Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP) is to provide a taxonomic scheme that will support the accurate tracking, assessment, and reporting of fields of study and program completions activity. CIP was originally developed by the U.S. Department of Education's National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) in 1980, with revisions occurring in 1985 and 1990. The 2000 edition (CIP-2000) is the third revision of the taxonomy and presents an updated taxonomy of instructional program classifications and descriptions.

Jennifer, Do you find the SAP policy difficult to manage in an online environment?
Dawn, This is an important separation, admissions should not ever have access to entrance exams to protect the integrity of the process.
Scott, The fact that you have actual dates published in advance for signatures would let the student know how organized your institution is.

Michael , While I agree with you, it is doubtful that a balance will be achieved since good news is not sensational. The general public will not spend their money on good news it's the negative news that sells.
