Durrell, The "used car salesman" mentality is a thing of the past. Education is a valuable tool that is highly respected and should be presented as such. It should be perceived as an honor to lead people to education. Cindy Bryant
Giovanni, I just recently jumped on the bandwagon with ereaders and tablets. They are an awesome tool and would be a great addition to the tradtional learning environment. Though I would hate for books to be gone forever. Cindy Bryant

James, I have learned that sometime we as an entity and as a nation give the media too much ammunition. The career collee sector isn't the only educational system under attack. CBS recently reported that the US spends over $129,000 on each student from K through 12. When it comes to high school graduation rates, the United States is 20th on the list. Germany, Japan, Korea and the U.K. all do better with graduation rates of 90 percent or more. In the Unites States, it's just 75 percent. Jonathan, In recent years the need to understand the relationship between the media and politics has become more pressing. Many commentators attribute enormous power to news media, claiming they have the ability to ‘move and shake governments’ (Cohen, 1994) The media played a powerful role in the regualtory changes that effected the career college sector which proves Cohen's theroy. Lawrence, I am a strong advocator of financial aid professionals discussing financial aid but it is important that everyone in the school be familiar with the processes. I would strongly encourage you to attend an exit or speak to a financial aid professional. It may surprise you as to how much they know and how much they help the students. Cindy Bryant

Gina, Sometimes it is easy to forget that students are adults and they respond well to honest, forthright information. We have discussed at length that students should be the right fit for a school but you are right the faculty and staff should be the right fit as well. Cindy Bryant

Thomasena, Your institution is required to exit students receiving Title IV funds but every student should be required to attend and offer their opinion on te campus. Cindy Bryant
