Social media has become the preferred method for providing information to the masses. It is very difficult to monitor this type of activity on students personal sites. However, if the campus allows staff and faculty to utilize social media sites it is critical to monitor them closely. Be prepared to respond to the unhappy postee just as you would any other complainant. Ensure that you are swift, accurate and have consulted with the appropriate parties.
