Vickie, Great advice! I strongly support having statements backed up with data. Cindy Bryant
Renuard, Thanks for participating in the forum today. Can you provide an example of separation of duties on your campus? Why are these duties separated? Cindy Bryant
Discussion Comment
Warren, You mentioned that your Campus Director is always available to assist with issues-this is key to successfully resolving issues. If you have the complete support of upper management there is less confusion when providing the student with solutions. Cindy Bryant
Tomya, It’s a good idea just to keep this long-standing rule in place for all conversations, be they verbal or written: Praise in public, correct in private. Cindy Bryant

Katrina, Thank you for bringing up this important topic. When students have complaints documenting these types of conversations is critical. If you fail to document minor information the situation could become a major event and without that documentation you could create a problem for the student or the school. Cindy Bryant

Iyad, Hi, welcome to the forum, Would you mind expanding on a friendly relationship with some red lines? Cindy Bryant
Discussion Comment
Katrina, I may have mentioned that there are certain offices such as, Work Investment Act (WIA) that suggest educational facilities to their clients. Many schools are WIA certified to offer training. Cindy Bryant
Adriel, Students need to be your first priority. Failing to treat them as valued customers you risk student satisfaction. If a student is not satisfied- they will more than likely drop from the program. Cindy Bryant
Mitchell, Bravo! Thank you for representing your institution ethically with conviction. Cindy Bryant

Joshua, Being familiar with the catalog is critical for every member of the school. The catalog assists in understanding your role as an instructor and answering questions, just as you mentioned. Cindy Bryant
