Laura, Student confidentiality is mandated under FERPA, Federal Educational Right To Privacy Act. FERPA dictates that records are kept confidential, without student permission you are not able to release information to parents even if they are funding the students education. Breena, Hi, thanks for your participation in the forum. There are several social services and workforce agencies that align themselves with local educational programs for rehabilitation however, there should be more that the agencies can do to assist those in need of an education.
