Justin, Great point! Loan counseling has to be treated as an important part of the students education. Staff must emphasis the importance in order for the students to take it seriously. There are some situations where the only loan counseling that occurs is on a computer and I have witnessed students 'clicking' through their responses without reading the material. Cindy Bryant

Russell, Welcome! Every complaint must be treated individually and all factors considered. For example, a complaint regarding the facility should be handled in a completely different way than a complaint that relates to an employee. The protocol is in place to protect the students and give them an avenue in which to be heard but every employee is a critical component in this process. Thanks for bringing this up. Cindy Bryant
Rickesha, Hi! Welcome to the forum. Does this method seem to work well at your campus? If not, why not? Cindy Bryant

Debra, Thank you. The better a school is able to manage their student body through delivering what they promise and addressing complaints in a timely fashion, the less likely they are to have to deal with negative press. Cindy Bryant
Michelle, Detailed training over the presentation of disclosures is key. It is important that the person presenting the material is able to explain the cohort rates, various charts and data that may accompany the disclosure information. It is wonderful that your admissions teams are being trained in this area. Cindy Bryant
Danielle, Thanks for the information. Can you recall the type of disclosures that are provided active students? Cindy Bryant
Marie, Dependent upon your position the Do-Not-Call restriction may not apply to you. If you are an instructor you are entitled to call your students as needed due to their contact with the school. Cindy Bryant
Christopher, Thank you for sharing what your school does on a daily basis. Cindy Bryant
April, Misrepresentation whether intentional or unintentional can cause the exact same damage to a schools reputation. The best practice is to provide training so that all employees fully understand the rules and regulations that relate to their job description. The action is training and the result is compliance. :) Cindy Bryant
