Activity

Include a rationale for why you are teaching what you are teaching.

Have the students find & share relevant content for the class (videos, readings, etc).

Ask an extra credit question on a test: what is something you learned in this unit/class that I did not test you on?

Do a quick 3x5 card assessment if they seem to be struggling, to understand where the probs are coming from .

"To eliminate the tedium, vary the medium."

It's always helpful to be reminded that the goal is (student) learning, not teaching!

I'm stoked about the Question Formulation Technique! I've actually been searching for something like this for my inquiry projects!

I like the idea of the flipped classroom. My hybrid classes naturally do this, but I could do it even with non-hybrid courses too.

I gained some useful tools to try (like the "muddiest point"...very apropos for our horticulture program!).

I was familiar with Bloom's Taxonomy but not with the other two diagrams shared. I will be using those as I design lessons, to ensure that my students are engaging at the appropriate level for their psychomotor and affective domains as well as their cognitive domains.
