socratic method of teaching is effective by forcing individuals to question what they think they already know. furthermore it is crucial to ask questions and structure them in a way that it promotes critical thinking.

importance of understanding and identifying each indivuduals learning styles and effective teaching techniques tailored to those styles of learning.

key characteristics of being a good teacher is knowing content, knowing your students, trancending the information and encouraging taking risks in your class. the motivation giving by you as the instructor directly effects the students motivation and success in your class.

Ways to be effectively engauging and participation generating techniques were discussed. REFOCUS is a way to regain the students focus and participation and attention midway through the course.

Importance of creating a comfortable learning enviorment. Developing student rapport and addressing each student by name aids in  increasing self respect for the students. always be engauging and listen to student concerns. 

This lesson has taught the importance of knowing how to adress a diverse group of students needs. The maturity, career goals, academic and life experience of the individuals will dictate the teaching style needed for student retention. 

teaching styles need to vary in order to be effective for the entire classes success. adult learning has its own challenges based off standard atention span studies. know the material and present it with a a personal rather than mechanical/repetative approach.

Setting a good first impression and familiarizing yourself with the students and also introducing students to eachother help create a more condusive enviorment effective for learning.

I took away it's important to be prepaired and minimize distractions and got some core values for improving effectiveness in teaching, setting goals and objectives out for the students to aid towards their success.
