Codes of conduct are necessary for online classes.  They should include cheating, appropriate language and consequences should also be clearly stated in the syllabus.

There is a plethora of online communication devices/ tools one can incorporate into their online class.  I will researc which ones will best serve my communication needs and not feel pressured to use all of the funcions available on that specific tool.  I may also seek out other ways to use those functions if they fit the needs of my class.

I want to make sure my organizatioonal layout matches my teaching style.  I want to be congnicent of my course content and ensure my delivery method is suitable to enhance engagement and retention.

I want to be more of a facilitator of learning rather than an answer giver.  I have many tasks such as clear communication, checking on understanding, creating and maintaining a learning centered environment, creating real life, problem based learning and giving my students meaningful feedback.

I would definitely use both synchronous and asynchronous methods for my class.  I believe it is important to have some real time learning to create a sense of belonging in the e-community, yet most of my class would be a synchronous to respect students' work, family and other time obligations.

Technology tools are helpful to instructors and students alike.  They assist in creating an engaging environment, teaching processes and the organization/ content of your course.

There are numerous ways to assess, go for it and use several.  Use qualitative and quantitative data to revise the module and teaching.

Online modules should include assessment that is not only formative and summative, but is cenetered on learning objectives.  The assessment is something we do with the students, not to the students and we should learn where we need to make changes in our teaching and modules based on the results.  Rubrics are essential for students to successfully navigate the desired learning objectives and reduce stress/ anxiety.

Creating a dynamic syllabus and utilizing online tools to create an e-community will contribute to student and teacher success.

Module consistency will enhance desired learning outcomes.  It will save the author a lot of time if they create a content data base which can be used again and again.  One should refine modules after assessment.
