There is a very fine balance to creating an positive learning environment while a catering to individual student needs. All students are different and it can have immense impacts on learning if educators fail to recognize different learning styles of students. The same effects can be experienced within a classroom in which the culture lacks respect. avoiding these things is incredibly important but it takes time and hard work to get to know your students well enough that they are able to effectively learn within your class.

Effective CTE teaching takes collaboration, an instructor should never be afraid to ask for help which is something we all struggle with at one point or another, so this was a definite reminder to always ask more questions. Additionally the importance of an advisory committee is very real. Having a well run advisory committee that is efficient at problem solving can often make a world of difference when it comes to seeking support from our peers.

This was a big reminder to me just how impactful educators can be and why it is so important to always act as a leader. Another point of interest was professionalism and boundaries. In my own experience I have learned that setting good strong boundaries can save a ton of time by avoiding inappropriate and unnecessary interactions with students. Students love to get off task and gossip if they are allowed to and it is up to us as educators to always maintain a close attention to what type of learning environment we are creating.

It has become quite clear to me just how expansive CTE is. It covers such a broad spectrum of different career fields, that without solid CTE educators Society would be lost. So many industries depend on the work that instructors do to produce their products weather its a commodity or a skilled trade. Another interesting aspect is just how old this organization is, we have certainly come a long ways since the beginning. Lastly it was fascinating to learn the origins of Perkins Funding and how Carl Perkins has forever impacted education.
