Michelle, This is great!. Weekly reports are frequent and regular enough to intitute change if needed and would allow the instructor to intervene with weaker performing students early on.Students ought to appreciate the effort you put into informing your students of their progress. Barry Westling

Donna, Sure, adult students in oarticular wnat to know sooner than later where they stand in the class. My preference is to meet with students personally and individually because I can show my encouragement and hope for their success better that way. Also advice and suggestions for improvement can be conveyed along with the routine grade information. Barry Westling

Making field trips and guest speakers a part of instruction

Donna, That's great! I too believe field trips and guest speakers are a wonderful way to infuse enthusiasm and interest into the routine class sessions. Often, students will recieve new levels of motivation, buckle down, and see their work improve after an interesting guest or field trip activity. Barry Westling
