Good to know best practices - for example for an employee who is also a student at an institution. What privilege he/she has as an employee accessing his or her own records. Training is important to anyone to better equip on handling challenging situations.

Understanding "best practice" for institutional policies and procedures. Know what to disclose and not to disclose.

It is important to understand what FERPA means in the United States because it is crucial that student records and privacy are protected.

Good to know what a bystander can do.  We all have a responsibility to do our part to protect students and community.

The role of Title IX coordinator is complex and requires the ability to have sixth sense to handle each case with sensitivity and compassion. 

Good to know who and how to report incidents or violations. Be responsible and respectful. We must take each other for granted. 

It is crucial to have a basic understanding of Title IX and VAWA to serve the greater good of the higher education community, especially the students and their families. 

Understanding the meaning of consent and psychological behavior of a victim are important as a responsible employee.

Good to know the grievances process and the remedial process. Sounds like a long process but I think it is important to record and listen to a victim's experience.

Each of us has an important role in reporting a crime act to protect students and campus community.
