Activity

A framework helps make admissions conversations clear, organized, and consistent.

It guides the flow of the meeting from greeting the student, to learning their goals, sharing information, and ending with next steps.

I plan to use this by following a simple structure in every conversation, while still adjusting to each student’s needs.

It helps keep the conversation clear, focused, and student centered.

I have learned that ethics and professional responsibility in admissions means being honest, fair, and respectful when working with students.

Admissions reps should give accurate information and treat all students equally. It’s also important to protect student information and follow rules.

I plan to apply this by being honest in conversations, sharing correct information, and always thinking about what is best for the student.

Professional readiness in admissions means being prepared to help students in a clear, organized, and honest way.

Admissions work involves talking with students and families, but also keeping track of applications and deadlines. So you need both communication skills and good organization.

It’s also important to be flexible and willing to learn because things change often in admissions.

I plan to improve by working on communication, staying organized, and learning how admissions systems work.

Overall, it’s about being helpful, responsible, and focused on students.

Admissions today is less about just providing information or meeting numbers and more about guiding students to make informed, good fit decisions. It requires communication, ethics, and adaptability.

I learned that attitude and continuous learning are just as important as skills and knowledge.

Going forward, I will focus on listening better, asking good questions, and making decisions that truly support students not just enrollment goals.

I learned that admissions is a great field to be and so much to learn. There is more than just your surface level things like tours, and interview questions. It's dinging deep to really connect with the student and understand their wants and needs. Admissions is the start of an amazing journey for students, so being knowledgable and trustworthy is everything to a student.
