As a teacher yes I do learn as I teach . I learn a lot about my students , how they receive the information and their ability to retain and utilize the information given and what I could do to make learning more enjoyable for them.

Remember that the students are adults and handle them like you would handle adults. Keeping adult learners engaged by noticing what they have accomplished well and give them praise for that but also challenge them to do the not so easy task that they may not like. Reward them when the except the challenge encourage them that  they are doers and achievers .

I learned keeping course records are very important for communicating with the students , keeping the communication lines open with student counseling especially with dealing with undesirable behaviors as a means for resolving student conflicts and minimizing student attrition.

Student participation and my constructive criticism helps increase class engagement when encouraged.when given constructive criticism in a positive and timely manner  it creates confidence and let the students know that their performance matters and I care that they achieve the course material. 

Creating space for my self and the students to get to know each other is very important in order to create relationships and trust . By starting off the first day of class  sending a biography of accomplishments and some things I like to do outside of the course gives them a picture of who I am . Then in turn asking the class to send in a biography of themselves helps the whole class and my self to see if we have something’s in common and starts a conversation. Knowing how to navigate the online course is very important to be able to help the students to function their devices and stay on point with all lessons and modules .

In other words it’s best to know to make sure they know what to do and how to do the course and materials set before them !

I use the identification of intrinsic and extrinsic student needs to guide my daily classroom and practical practicesI lab time create learning experiences that build skills, confidence, and motivation while reinforcing why students chose this program.I maintain a safe , structured, and supportive environment that promotes belonging, professionalism , and real-world expectations.By addressing both technical and soft skills, I help students move from external motivation to internal drive, supporting retention and long- term career success.
