Activity

What I learned from this unit was about the different gaps to help students learning and assessments.

I learned it's better to provide positive feedback first, then constructive criticism, with a one on one help to engage the student positively.

I learned that given the opportunity to help the students with engagement by using onsite field trips and internships are excellent sources.

I learned about the differences as well as the similarities between modifications and accommodations, both are helpful to the students and it's important to make sure they are being provided especially in a timely manner.

Material planning and curriculum planning require additional details. I find this to be extremely true and helpful when teaching the students then doing an activity that goes along with the lesson. Sometimes the research on the hands on activity to make it coordinate with the lesson can be extensive for me, I want it to be engaging and fun.

In this module an important feature I learned about for the CTE program between the certification and licensing aspect of the program I teach, is the differences with the chart for the benefits of both.

I've learned how to use Curriculum alignment link students to the standards, programs, objectives, instruction, and assessments for my program.

Creating a positive first impression for students on the first day establishes trust and interest. It's important to be clear and provide positive feedback regarding introductions and how the year will proceed.

I learned some effective ways to help turn the tide on some of the challenging students classroom behaviors include being receptive to speaking with them separately to determine if there is any current trama. To utilize different strategies depending on the many different situation to effectively end with a positive outcome.

What have you learned from this module and how do you intend to apply it?

Teacher mentor's are important resources for new instructors mainly because they provide support to assist the new instructor in learning how to manage their classroom/courses/student relations. It is an easily way to access hands on real world connections or resources within our reach.
