Having a plan with multiple components should be followed to make sure you are addressing the different part of online instruction. 

It is importance for new online faculty to receive guided practice and instruction on their new school's implementation of their Learning Management System even if they have used it before at other schools. 

Bringing currently practicing professionals can allow real-world experience into the online classroom for the students. This can help them have a more well rounded experience and a better understanding why they are learning certain skills. 

When implementing the program changes it is important to plan and make sure you are meeting all regulatory requirements with the changes you are making. 

Analyzing and learning from the collected data is pertinent when considering adding a new program. It is important to pay attention to what the data shows and not cast it aside. It may show it would not be beneficial to add the program, you may find a different program you want to consider adding instead, or you may find you just want to add continuing education opportunities. 

Learning about your community is important when considering if a new program should be added. There is a lot of work that needs to be done gather and interpreting information before deciding if it makes sense to add the program. 

It is very important to do the needed research being adding a new program. A review committee should be comprised of a diverse group of people who are relevant to the new program that is being considered to add. 

Both positive and constructive feedback are beneficial in the work place. Creating an environment that fosters openness and trust is vital. 

It was interesting to learn how FERPA relates to and is impacted by things such as HIPPA, The Soloman Act, and the USA Patriot Act. It is also important to know how FERPA is impacted as technology evolves and is continuously integrated into the academic setting. 

There are still things that can be redacted and not disclosed to a student who requests their file. I also learned how FERPA relates to former students, alumni, and deceased students in a completely different way than active students.
