I am absolutely amazed at all the technology avaiable for disabled persons.  By becoming aware of resources and identifying the learner's disability situation, we could offer an educated guidance to pair up the proper assistive technology tools to the students.  This will enhance their education as well as making it a more positive experience for the educators.

I was surpirsed to hear that the number of "disabled" students was so high.  With so many regulations, Acts, and programs, it is such a challenge for educators to be aware.  It is extremely challenging when the students themselves are not utilizing resources available to them.  WIth this new information, I'm definitely going to be more mindful of how I coduct my class.

I did not realized that there are so many different form of disabilities.  These disabilities have been considered as the student's personality and were dealt with accordingly with disciplinary actions because the disabilities were not understood.  By understanding the different forms, educators could be more empathetic and create a more flexible learning experience for these students.  The continued edcation will create awareness which in turn will assist educators by providing an alternative tool for students with learning disabilities.

At any given point, a teacher may be a student and a student may be a teacher.  With that said, multiple evaluations are a neccessity in order to assess thoroughly.  There are many different types of learners as there are many different types of teachers.  In order to be successful and effective as a teacher, multiple evaluations and assessments will help in determining the areas of improvements as well as strengths.  After this lesson, I plan on being more diligent in obtaining evaluations from multiple resourses in order to improve my method of delivering my lessons.

Feedbacks are great if they're elaborated and constructive.  My experience has been while we love reading feedbacks, many are not liberal to provide them.  The suggestion of asking specific questions to prompt more detailed and "usefull" feedbacks is a tool that I will definitely incorportate into discussions as well as rubrics.

Again, it seems like every course regardless of subject matter, communication is always important.  From this unit, I particular learned that, depending on your audience, how you communicate is an area that consistantly needs improvement.  The S2S, S2I, I2S, G2G, etc...are some great examples provided to where addressing a certain audience matters on how one shares or critiques a subject.

I never conisder "scaffolding" a mean for building on your skill set, but I will definitely focus on this method when developing my syllabus.

Consistency is the key for me.  WIth this lesson, it futher emphasized that consistencies in every aspects of lesson planning creates familiarity and expectation.  Personally, I learn better that way because there's less guess work and challenges in locating information.  I plan to "chunk" more of my learning objects so they could be easily accessed by the students.
