Creating a syllabus is extremely important for users to have. I also learned about creating example so that students understand what is asked for assignments. 

I learned the importance of consistancy when it comes to creating an online format. This helps students find learning objects easily. Also, teachers can use outside resources to help develop the learning objects. 

Teachers need to take a lot into account when creating online courses. 

Students need feedback on assignments. Educators also must self evaluate what is working and what can be improved in courses. 

Communication is extremely important when setting up both types of learning environments. 

Instructors may have access to many tools, but they need to use appropriate tools for teaching that particular topic. Instructors should be using tools that best help the students. 

I learned about behaviors can be distruptive to learning through an online course. I also learned strategies on how to identify students that may be struggling or need extra assistance with an online course. 

I learned a lot about asynchronous and synchronous discussions and to best foster those discussions. I also learned about providing quality feedback to my students on their work. 

It is extremely important for you to get to know your students. Also, I like how it discussed that it is important for teachers to show their presence, but this does not mean taking over the conversation or be the only person talking. I like the idea of discussions. 

In an online learning environment, it is important for educators to understand their role in everything. Expectations should be set for content, amount of time, responding to emails and questions, and assessments. Educators must also be able to monitor which students are completing assignments. The educator must understand how to use the online platform in order for all of the previous expectations to be met.
