About me

I've been a career educator for over 20 years. I currently serve as the Academic Coordinator for Brookstone College of Business and continue to be active in the classroom as a Business Instructor. My motto is "A student doesn't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." I was honored to receive the Career College Association National Teacher of the Year award in 2001. I just love teaching!

Hi Dale, It is nice whenever we as educators can share relevant life experience with our students to motivate them. Students enjoy hearing our related stories. Patricia
Hi Gloria, Please resend them when you get a chance. I want to respond to them. Patricia
Hi Eboni, Students need to be held accountable so that they understand what responsibility is. Patricia
Hi Carmen, Monitoring the class is definitely a way to reduce cheating. Students know that they are being watched. Patricia
Hi Alyson, Profanity on an instructors part is definitely unprofessional! I can not believe an educator would even behave as such in front of their students. Continue being a professional Alyson; your students will respect you for this. Patricia
Hi Yvonne, This is a great way to determine who is paying attention, and if they are grasping the concepts are not. Patricia
Hi Kerri, What great ways to engage your students! I like the idea of the topic-of-the-day. Patricia
Hi Tina, We are definitely role models for our students. Some of our students have no one in their personal life to look up to. Patricia
