Hi Annette, I have experienced the same thing in medical transcription as well as other computer classes. I let students know up front the different scenarios that are considered cheating, and if they are caught what the repercussions are. I like to whenever I can give my students different cases to transcribe so that cheating is minimized, and they cannot print someone else's work because each student is transcribing different cases(s). Hi Kevin, I really make a great effort to spend some office time with my silent students so that I can offer more one-on-one, thus establishing a rapport. A relationship with a silent student really helps the student come out of their shell. Patricia
