About me

I've been a career educator for over 20 years. I currently serve as the Academic Coordinator for Brookstone College of Business and continue to be active in the classroom as a Business Instructor. My motto is "A student doesn't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." I was honored to receive the Career College Association National Teacher of the Year award in 2001. I just love teaching!

Activity

Hi Mark, Listening is key! It seems to get better just by listening. I listen to the student fully before saying anything. Patricia
Hi Bruce, When students realize that the information is really useful. They understand the relevancy of the course. Patricia
Hi Nicholas, We must certainly lead by example. Our students really watch us. Patricia
Hi Michael, You put it to your students truthfully! I am sure they get your drift. Patricia
Hi Beverly, You are on point! In order to get respect, you first have to give it. Patricia
Hi Jan, This is a sure way to help minimize cheating. I especially like it how you make it known to your students that two different versions of test are being used. Patricia
Hi Jennifer, I like the idea of the electronic gradebook! Students have no excuses for not knowing. Patricia
Hi Jerry, Networking is important in our area! I always tell my students you never know who you may be sitting next to in class. It can be the person who may hire you for your career. Patricia
