About me

I've been a career educator for over 20 years. I currently serve as the Academic Coordinator for Brookstone College of Business and continue to be active in the classroom as a Business Instructor. My motto is "A student doesn't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." I was honored to receive the Career College Association National Teacher of the Year award in 2001. I just love teaching!

Hi Scot, I was 23 when I started teaching at the career college level and never had a problem as being regarded as the instructor. My advice to you is to carry yourself as a professional at all times so that they regard you as their instructor. Never go to the student's level. Patricia

Hi Cindy, Go get someone of higher authority and have them make the student leave the room. Express to the authoritarian that you DO NOT won't the student back in your class for the gradig period and request that the student apologizes to you. Patricia
