About me

I've been a career educator for over 20 years. I currently serve as the Academic Coordinator for Brookstone College of Business and continue to be active in the classroom as a Business Instructor. My motto is "A student doesn't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." I was honored to receive the Career College Association National Teacher of the Year award in 2001. I just love teaching!

Hi Kristin, The more real we can make the lesson, the more interested/excited students become. Patricia
Hi Tammy, Great tactics to keep students on point. My voice really projects, and my students seem to stay alert based on my loudness. Patricia
Hi Lori, You are definitely thinking along the right lines! Guest speakers can serve as a great inspiration to students. Patricia
Hi Walter, Absolutely, this is a practice that all instructors should follow to avoid getting in any type of trouble. Patricia
Hi Shirley, I like set protocols. You really put it back on the students. We have similar protocols at my institution. Students need to realize for every choice there is a consequence. Patricia
