About me

I've been a career educator for over 20 years. I currently serve as the Academic Coordinator for Brookstone College of Business and continue to be active in the classroom as a Business Instructor. My motto is "A student doesn't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." I was honored to receive the Career College Association National Teacher of the Year award in 2001. I just love teaching!

Hi Peter, As instructors we should always be neat in appearance. Our students emulate us in every way. Patricia Scales
Hi Diane, I concur! I feel a broad study guide is great, and I always ensure even though the study guide is broad, my test will be centered around the broad study guide. In other words, anything on the study guide is fair game, therefore know it all. Patricia Scales
Hi Susan, I call on everyone as well on a daily basis to get great class involvement. The shy students are ready because they know that they are not exempt from being called upon. Patricia Scales
Hi Diane, Some people are just quiet and will not open up, but try the best that you can to build a relationship with the shy student, by greeting, smiling, and having small talk. Patricia Scales
Hi Chad, I concur! They also bring book theory into real life. Patricia Scales
