About me

I've been a career educator for over 20 years. I currently serve as the Academic Coordinator for Brookstone College of Business and continue to be active in the classroom as a Business Instructor. My motto is "A student doesn't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." I was honored to receive the Career College Association National Teacher of the Year award in 2001. I just love teaching!

Hi Molly, I love how you take the new students under your wing and make the experience on the first day very warm and welcoming. Students will continue to come back the next day if they feel at ease. Patricia Scales
Hi Dana, I concur! Students love hearing stories that are applicable to what they will be doing once they graduate. Patricia Scales
Hi Penuel, You are right! Students confidence level is heightened whenever they can teach something to the student. I learn a lot from my students, not so much about academics, but just about life/survival in general. Patricia Scales
Jason, I agree! Instructors must carry themselves as professionals at all times so that students clearly understand who takes on the authoritarian role. Patricia Scales
