About me

I've been a career educator for over 20 years. I currently serve as the Academic Coordinator for Brookstone College of Business and continue to be active in the classroom as a Business Instructor. My motto is "A student doesn't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." I was honored to receive the Career College Association National Teacher of the Year award in 2001. I just love teaching!

Hi Joshula, Pit falls should be tracked and worked upon as well. Continue to try your hardest. As long as you teach, you will make mistakes. Do the very best that you can. Patricia

Hi Joseph, It shows whenever an instructor enjoys or disklike the subject matter that he or she teaches. When the istructor is excited about the subject, the student gets excited. We need to keep excitement in our classrooms. Patricia
Hi Matthew, It is very important to share with students on Day 1, the sole purpose for taking the course. Students are very curious, and they are full of why's. Patricia
Hi Brian, It is always a good idea to make a note of your mistake to avoid it from happening again. Written notes tend to work well. Patricia
Hi Marvin, As educators, we must observe our timid students closely. We do not want any of our students to fall through the cracks. Patricia
Hello Joshula, At times, it is necessary to get a third party involved to act as a mediator. The number one priority is to resolve any differences and move forward. Patricia
