About me

I've been a career educator for over 20 years. I currently serve as the Academic Coordinator for Brookstone College of Business and continue to be active in the classroom as a Business Instructor. My motto is "A student doesn't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." I was honored to receive the Career College Association National Teacher of the Year award in 2001. I just love teaching!

Hi Patricia, What a great response! I totally agree with your observation. Most single mothers tend to have a lot of anger built up in them because of the bad choices they made in life, but they must realize they still can be successful. They must work hard to gain success. Patricia
Hi John, Absolutely, if the challenge is beyond your scope definitely get higher authority involved. Patricia
Hi Rochele, At some point or another cheating will come back to haunt the cheater. Patricia
Hi Mohan, The teacher student relationship should not be a buddy system. The relationsip should simply be only professional in nature. Patricia
Hi Alicia, I think it is only fair and professional to remind students of assignments, after all they are professionals in training. Patricia
Hi Derrick, How do you feel this captures students attention? Patricia
Hi Marian, It is only one manager of the classroom, the instructor. Students want you and need you to take full control. Patricia
Hi Doreen, Students receiving feedback from others can be helpful. I've heard students tell others, "You better start early because it is a lot of work involved with that particular project." Patricia
Hi Valerie, I understand those "senior" moments! It is good when we can laugh. Patricia
