About me

I've been a career educator for over 20 years. I currently serve as the Academic Coordinator for Brookstone College of Business and continue to be active in the classroom as a Business Instructor. My motto is "A student doesn't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." I was honored to receive the Career College Association National Teacher of the Year award in 2001. I just love teaching!

Hi Wendy, Showing examples is simply a win-win situation. Patricia
Hi Kellie, You should never come down to the students level. As educators, we must maintain a level above the students, therefore we do not befriend them. Patricia
Hi Sheila, I like the idea! I am sure your students have been inspired by this. Patricia
Hi Bethanne, It is always good to have something to refer back to. You will love your diary! Patricia
Hi Ajani, The main point is that you have learned from each mistake. Patricia
Hi Casey, What a great way to teach students! Samples are always appreciated by students. Patricia
Hi Althea, Absolutley! As educators, we must be effective listeners. We should not generalize. Patricia
