I have learned that the first day introduction helps the students know who we all are, what they will be learning and what they will accomplish within the course. 

I learned that preparation is key, from having a clear and informative syllabus, to reviewing daily lessons you plan on teaching, and having an inviting comfortable environment to learn. This will help in the whole process of instructing.

I learned that as instructors we are models, managers and motivators. To be a good model would include dressing appropriately and being punctual. To be a good manager would be to review modules before instructing to get a good understanding of that lesson. To be a good motivator would include, being positive with students and helping them with any questions they have, being helpful during labs and hands on instruction.
