The Khan Academy is  free resource. The video walks teachers through how they can create their own courses. 

It is very important to provide students with "hands-on" experience in CTE programs. Financial constraints might pose the biggest problems with reaching every student.

The one thing that stands out is how this course has included the COVID-19 challenges. I think the use of technology has helped teachers adapt to challenging situations and improve meeting norms through accountability. 

I think working with teachers from other trades is meaningful. Embracing what makes us different might lead to a wide understanding of situations that while they might seem different, are actually very similar. 

The pause is what has been missing from the PLC community I work with. We often don't pause to reflect and analyze how we are doing with student engagement for example. I think it is important to strategically implement the pause strategy.

I have learned that we have been doing everything this module tells us not to do. I think this is a good time to reflect and look at our PLC structure through a different lens. Looking forward to what else this module has to offer.

When a classroom is safe, traumatized students gain purpose and increased self-esteem. This reduces the student’s need to express negative behaviors or emotions. BE CONSISTANT!

I have students who have outburst in the classroom, My approach is to take the student aside and perform a check-in. I do this in an attempt to not bring unnecessary attention to the student. This is mentioned in the curriculum.

Identifying triggers can help instructors understand what to be mindful of when communicating with students. Recognizing the four "F's" can help instructors recognize behaviors that might seem normal as also being traumatic behaviors.
