Hi Kevin - a class that is excited by learning is a class that has a great instructor- congratulations! Best wishes - Susan
Hi Chanel - I think the survey is an excellent idea as it will serve as your guide as to where your students need the most work and also can be used to compare to their post-tests/finals to show them how far they have come. Best wishes! Susan

Hi Kerry - Welcome to Ed 103! We have our instuctors put the class oblectives on the board and then, as you mention recap those objectives at the end of the class and check each of them off. Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career. susan

Hi Stacy- That is really a great way to help your students learn how to work with their style and lead them to accomodate the other styles! Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career! Susan

Hi Roger- Welcome to ED 103! It is difficult sometimes when we get students who have accumulated some previous knowledge because they may be resistnt to new techniques. It takes some finesse to bring them around. Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career! Susan

Hi Kelly - It is realistically probably not possible to address every learning style in every one of your classes. However, you can vary your delivery over the entire class to reach all of the learning styles. You can lecture, use a powerpoint, show a video, bring in a sample or component; basically what I am saying is "Use your imagination!" You will come up with all kinds of ideas that will not only benefit your students but excite you as well! Best wishes! Susan

Hi Ty - Welcome to ED 103! As you mention, usually an instructor will get the "feel" for his/her class in terms of learning styles. In some classes instructors have really accelerated classes and may not have that advantage. So, as you also mention, it makes great sense in every class to try to incorporate delivery that accomodates all of the learning styles. Thanks for your posting and best wishes for continued succsee in your teaching career! Susan

Hi Chanel - Interesting- I would have guessed that the majority of your students would have been kinesthetic/tactile. It is more difficult to balance your delivery across all the styles , but the pay-off is worth it! Best wishes - Susan

Hi Anthony- Welcome to Ed 103! I'll bet that you have in every class, students that have some form of dyslexia. Knowing what that entails, you can be a great resource for those students. Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career! Susan
