HI Elizabeth- Thanks for your post to the forum! You have it exactly right - if students are struggling, review what you are doing in your lessons and revise as needed. Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career! Susan
Hi Amanda- Thanks for your post to the forum! What you describe is often called "Teaching Back" and is an excellent technique to increase retention and to also assess your students' skills. Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career! Susan
HI Herb - Thanks for your post to the forum! Do you find that often many students have the same or similar questions? Best wishes - Susan
Hi Warren - Welcome to ED 103 and thanks for your post to the forum! Currently I teach only online and you are correct - it's really difficult to add tactile geared content. I encourage students to do collages, sculpture etc. to photograph and submit digitally. You can also direct your students to take field trips to visit produce vendors or ask permission to observe or volunteer to work in kitchens etc. Here's a link to an article about this topic: http://www.wikieducator.org/Facilitating_the_learning_process_of_kinesthetic_learners_in_the_online_environment Best wishes - Susan
Hi Esther- Thanks for your post to the forum. Asking students for input certainly allows them to play a more active role in their learning! Best wishes - Susan
Hi David - Thanks for your post to the forum. You are definitely doing a great job of teaching to your mostly kinestheic learners and you also are reaching those who prefer the other styles -great work! Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career. Susan
HI Russell- Thanks for your post to the forum! As you mention, we all have students with diverse skill levels that require us to make frequent adjustments to our teaching. Best wishes- Susan
Hi Kim - Thanks for your post to the forum! I have formed teams according to personality styles ( which are different from learning styles). It's really amazing to watch the synergy that occurs! Best wishes- Susan
Hi Tracy - I think that students really enjoy these sorts of questions as well! Best wishes - Susan
