Hi Rosita- I am so glad that you found something really useful from this class! Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career! Susan
Hi Scott- Thanks for your post to the forum. I think that we all have experienced "PowerPoint Hell" at some point! Horrible classes or training sessions with either pages and pages of text (which the facilitator reads to us -groan!)or painful animations that click, clack, beep, or whatever! There HAS to be a better way and it seems that you are on to it! Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career! Susan
Hi Gilbert- Thanks for your post to the forum. As you mention, positive reinforcement is so important in questioning. Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career, Susan
Hi Jerri- Thanks for your post to the forum. I really like that you usr the info you get from the "pop-quizzes" to tweak your instruction - we all need to take direction from our students! Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career, Susan

Hi Carolyn- Thanks for your post to the forum. CATs will give you a good idea of what your students have learned from your instruction thus far. You can determine their learning styles either through observation, or by administering some sort of learning styles assessment. Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career. Susan
Hi Rosita - You have it exactly correct - knowing and accomodating the learning styles of your students will indeed make for a much more productive learning experience! Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career. Susan

Hi Jenny- Thanks for your post to the forum. I like your idea of asking questions that are based on your students' opinions on issues. It gets them to participate and, as you mention, there are no "correct" answers! Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career. Susan
