In this module I learned that asynchronous and synchronous learning approaches offer valuable opportunities for student learning. Sites like zoom and google classroom can make asynchronous learning easier to manage and facilitate.

In this module I learned that technology tools can be useful to the classroom setting, we just have to know when to use certain tools and how to use certain tools.

Safety needs to be woven into the minds of every student when it comes to working in the shop, no exceptions.

In this module, I've learned that competency-based learning in the shop setting is detrimental to the learning and development for future industry workers to learn and grow at their own pace in their craft mastery. 

In this module, I've learned that when creating your lesson plan it's important that you use your own personal experience and personal training style to add to what the learning objectives and standards are. Use the ABCD method.

In this module I've learned that the first day of class sets the stage for the rest of the class term. Do your best in finding strategies for remembering your students and their names. 

In this module I've learned that having a clear and descriptive syllabus is important when delivering expectations to the class about the course. Being prepared and early will help you early on when meeting your first class. 

In this module I've learned that as an instructor you are a role model as an industry standard for whatever you are teaching to the students, they will take after you in all the habits and traits that they see you do, model for them well.

In this module I've learned that active learning strategies keep students motivated and engaged and encourages more and active participation in the class, resulting in more retention of information and active use of said information.

One thing I've learned in this module is that motivation for students can simply come just from the instructor that is passionate about the job and teaching in and of itself. When an instructor loves their job, they take better care of the students and the students become more motivated.
