About me

I am an Education Advisor/Consultant for MaxKnowledge. I write courses that assist in the professional development of career college instructors. These courses range in content from the introductory level to advanced instructional development. I started my teaching career as an instructional technology teacher on the high school level, completed graduate school and then moved into higher education. I spent many years in the area of teacher training at the University of Nebraska. While at the University of Nebraska I stared working with career college instructors to improve their instructional delivery skills. As a result of these experiences I have been a consultant to career colleges throughout the United States and a number of foreign countries.

Matching Content to Need

Hi Jae, You are doing a number of things that help your students have success. The "reading" of your students is a good way to keep your pulse on flow of the class. This way you can make any adjustments that you feel are needed to keep the course on target. Using the contributions of the students is a great way of getting them to see things about the course outside of the class. Hi Leslie, Way to go in motivating them while creating a bridge from where they are at to where they can go. This is so important for students that are just beginning their post secondary careers. They in many cases still have a high school perspective that needs to be expanded since they are now in an educational setting that dictates their future so success is critical. Gary
