Its fine to take a sick day but you must be responsible knowing how your absence affects other workers and team as a whole..

Handling an Unhappy Interviewer

While thinking about how to overcome internal challenges, it may also be worth spending a few minutes to brainstorm a plan of action for when the employer is less than kind. 

WBL support is essential and everyone must be on the the same page.

At the core of all effective communication lies this mandate: always maintain your dignity.

 Every one of us can maintain our dignity by consistently expressing ourselves in a way that demonstrates self-respect and respect for others. This means remaining calm, rational, and honest, even if the other person has failed to do so. 

The importance of proper communication and professionalism in the workplace are essential.

Encourage students to come up with at least 5 questions so that learners can then generate a list of questions and ideas.

Once they have come up with those 5 questions to ask employer, you would ask them to articulate and demonstrate in a mock interview scenario that list of questions in a professional manner.

Your class's master list might include one of the following questions:

Question: "How would you describe the company culture and work environment?" 
Reasoning: To find out whether the company has a dress code, sponsored social events, and what the relationship between management and employees is like.

Take time to consider taking at least five minutes for the class to partner up and practice role-playing this scenario.

Make sure to remind students to give the reference some background information so they can better answer a potential employer's questions, to confirm how the reference would like to be contacted.

The importance of proper communication, and the 5 keys to success.  For me the two most important keys are being dependable, and Acting like part of the team.

Also Becoming Aware of How We Come Across

Using proper professional dress, and showing students the importance of having a professional presentation  along with  body language and self perception.

The importance of a mock interview with your peers, 

 Students should choose a day and practice to come in dressed as if for an interview. If your group is small enough, you might consider playing the employer and having each learner take turns interviewing in front of the group.

Discuss each ones performance and ask for constructive criticism and feedback.

Also the importance of showing confidence  through their posture, composure, and their vocal projection while showing enthusiasm..
