This module reinforced for me that asking good questions can be just as important as giving good explanations. I learned that questions can be used to get students thinking, check their understanding, and encourage them to explain their reasoning rather than simply give an answer. I intend to apply this by asking more open ended questions during demonstrations and project critiques instead of immediately telling students what they should change. In my CTE classroom, I can use questions such as “What are you trying to communicate?” or “Why did you make that design choice?” to help students think more critically and take greater ownership of their work.
