What really stood out to me is how much smoother teaching feels when the planning is intentional. I have  realized that having clear objectives not only helps students understand the “why,” but it also keeps me focused and confident going into each class. I also learned how important it is to think ahead about where students might struggle and to build in small checks for understanding so I can adjust on the spot.

Moving forward, I want to be more deliberate with backward planning, starting with what I want students to walk away with and building the lesson from there. I also plan to prep more visuals, real‑life examples, and hands‑on activities since those resonate so well in our field. When I’m prepared, I feel more relaxed, flexible, and better able to support students.
