I think it is critical to have a safe, fun, friendly inviroment for students. With that being said, you can always keep the engagement with students if they have a mixed learning atmosphere. Group instruction can always be boring if not everyone participates. Being creative with facts and fun engagement can ease the room. You have to set common ground and teach in writing and hands on application. Various training styles is good to keep the brain open for discussion.
