More Than a Legal Requirement, an Ethical Commitment

Hi everyone! As part of the Admissions and Records team, it is essential that we analyze how we communicate our academic offerings. According to the standards of the Commission for Independent Education (CIE), all advertising must be factual and not misleading, ensuring that all illustrations and materials faithfully represent our institution.
A critical point in our work is avoiding "implied promises." Florida law explicitly prohibits guaranteeing or implying a guarantee of employment or specific salary levels to prospective students. Our communication must always clearly state that we are offering training and education, not a job opportunity.
Furthermore, any placement claims or salary projections we use must be based on reliable statistical data and include proper citations of the source.
Question for the group: How do you believe we can effectively highlight the benefits and quality of our Bachelor and Master programs without crossing the line into making prohibited promises of guaranteed employment?
