@csilveira :Getting students to be interested in a subject can be challenging. I think it can start with the instructor's enthusiasm with the material and delivery. If the subject is or has become uninteresting to the instructor, try to find something new within the subject that you find interesting and include in in the instruction. Perhaps there is a new development in the area that can be included. Speak to other instructors in the field and see if they are using materials or techniques that might spark some interest in the subject. Find ways for the students to see the relevance in learning the material and connecting what they are learning to their lives.
