Utilizing the instructors real life experience and application

Hi Philp,
What do you typically do to make learning apply to the real world?

Patricia Scales

Utilizing real world experience shows the student that what is learned in the classroom is actually applicable to actual job situations. An example would be the teaching of safety policies for the trades curriculum. The student will find that the first priorities of any jobsite are these same safety policies learned in class, giving creditability to what is being taught and reinforcing the need of the student to learn these concepts as they will apply to his/her career.

Daniel Esparza

Hi Daniel,
Students need to and want to know that what they are learning in the classroom is applicable to what they will be doing on the job; students see the course relevancy from this.
