	<div class="river_content_display"><p>I did gain some valuable information from this course but my role in our education process where I teach is different. I don't teach in a classroom . I instruct students who are in a externship for 12 weeks before they go find a job. The hardest part is keeping them motivated in finishing their course since they are biting at the bit to get out. Attendance is a big issue with them as they go on interviews that pull them away from their externship duties. I have given many a performance review over the years and I have learned that this word can do more damage that a flat out bad review. The word is "but". I'm sure you have heard or even said statements like "you did a wonderful job on the housing project Harry, but....... The word "but" just nullified all that came before it. Harry is now unwilling to hear anything else you have to say. I now what Harry is feeling. Unless we know our goals and styles it will be impossible to find others with the same objectives.
   Once we have determined our goals,let people know what they are. The old saying "birds of a feather flock together" applies here. Those with similar goals will migrate to you. Once a school has a good established culture, it's popularity and success rate will climb. This is achieved by everyone having the same nature and the same common goal.
