Teri Stanfill

About me

Teri Stanfill has been the Executive Director of the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Schools since 1994 and is responsible for the oversight and regulation of Arizona’s 265 private colleges and universities, as well as the administration of the Student Tuition Recovery Fund.

Teri is also active on many state and national educational organizations and has served as President of the National Association of State Administrators of Private Schools (NASASPS), a 501(C)(3) corporation.

Prior to joining the Board of Private Postsecondary Education, Teri served as the Executive Director of the Arizona Private School Association.

Teri received her Bachelor of Science in Business, major in accounting, from Indiana University.

Activity

In order to meet a state’s compliance goals it is important that employees of all institutions understand that that their individual functions, whatever they may be, and must operate within the rules and regulations of their particular state, accrediting agency and USDE.  Equally important, the employees need to understand the rules and regulations are not intended to be punitive or onerous, but to ensure quality education and provide valuable services to their students.
