About me

Activity

I just completed EL112 and found it to be very practical and valuable.  The information was well-organized and easy to digest.  I would recommend this course to other faculty who find themselves challenged with work/life balance issues.

Theresa and Christina:

I found many useful techniques and am eager to put them into action.  I recognize that I would need to change some behaviors in order to be successful with this new orientation.  Nevertheless, I plan to put effort into this direction.

LOL - John!

I too had signed up for the Time Management course and seemed to let my other urgent work interfere with appropriate goal setting with regard to completing my course in a reasonable and organized fashion.  However, I still have a 48-hour window to complete discussion posts.  I also passed my final test at 100%, so I plan to use all of my wisdom and apply some of the techniques in my every day life.  I plan to put emphasis on this first thing in the morning.  :)

Kevin:

Did you mean to write PMP?  I don't know what PPM is.  Unless I am mistaken, PMP is the certification for Project Management Professional, which I currently hold.  I am also attending a workshop this coming week to train and prepare for certification in Agile methods of Project Management.  I hope to earn my ACM certification soon.

My experience as a professional, instructor and human being is that project management techniques help individuals identify, prepare and pursue their goals.  I believe that a PMP is a value-add for professionals in many different organizations and industries.
